ConnectSmart® Host Common Errors
ConnectSmart® Host is split between two products, ConnectSmart® Host for Windows, and a ConnectSmart® Host cloud subscription for iOS. This article describes the most common errors encountered for each product.
ConnectSmart® Host for Windows
Error message:
ConnectSmart® Server not yet available, continuing to retry…
Solution: Please verify that the ConnectSmart® Server service is running.
Incorrect Username or Password
Solution: Please verify that you are using the correct authentication credentials for the Host Client. Reminder: This does not have to be an email address; it could be a custom username that was created for use with the Host client.
No Reservation Availability Algorithm selected in plan.
Solution: Please ensure reservations are enabled for the desired meal session in the Availability Plans.
Authenticate time stamp exceeds the time window.
Solution: The Host Server’s time may not deviate more than 5 min from the actual time for that location. Additionally, the Host Client’s time may not deviate more than 5 min from the Host Server’s time. Please correct the system Date/Time for that machine.
ConnectSmart® Host for iOS
Error message:
Error Signing In: There was a problem connecting to the Server.
Solution: Please check the iOS app settings to ensure that it is not pointed to look for a local Server. Also, please make sure you are using the correct email address and password to sign into your account.
Verification Needed – We need to verify your email address before you can login.
Solution: Please check your email inbox or spam folders for the email verification link needed to verify your new account.
Please ensure proper whitelisting is applied to the network for all locations.
